The concept

There are multiple good reasons for sailing with Jean Claude and the outcomes are many: from spending good times gliding along to learning many things in one go. The list of keywords that would best describe this trip is long, from which we would retain: fun, relax, calm, exclusive, cool, sun, sail, learn, discover, see, listen, sea, swim, dive, enjoy!

This trip, as simple as it is unique in Mauritius, is about sailing a traditional pirogue along the nicest lagoon of Mauritius. We mean real sailing, with just Jean Claude, an experienced sailor and seaman, you and your loved ones. Where the small outboard engine is on just for some manoeuvres, the rest of time is a peaceful glide at the sound of the wind and the soft lapping on the wooden hull. Anyone feeling comfortable in giving it a try, will have the occasion of steering and helping Jean Claude in the manoeuvres. Those seeking for just a relaxing trip can enjoy the spectacular view of the mountains emerging from the lagoon.

The more curious ones will be attentive to Jean Claude’s chats about the place, his place, his piece of paradise where he was born, grew-up in harmony with nature and people, how it evolved from fascinating adventures lived by the ancient sailors, alternating hardships and happy days.

Because its a family business, one can opt for fast-cruising the lagoon in Jean Eric’s speed boat. It’s more exhilarating and less harmonious but you will still discover the lagoon’s sweet spots guided by a “Zanfan Lakot” (a kid of the coast).
