Villa Les Dunes 2

A real piece of paradise... all as per the pictures and descriptions in the advert... even better! A magnificent villa, tastefully decorated, with an incredible view... we were spoilt by the weather and this light breeze more present on the east of the island was very pleasant with the heat.

Small, calmer swimming spots to cool off and enjoy the wild, authentic beach. Absolute peace and quietness!

Sophie was great to deal with, very attentive and responsive. Many thanks to her!

Rati is a pearl, she prepared delicious Mauritian dishes for us every day... a wonderful discovery. Rati is very available, discreet and always smiling to make our holiday even more enjoyable. Thank-you!

A beautiful villa with its feet in the water, on one of the island's unspoilt coasts. Ideal for snorkelling, a little less so for swimming: the lagoon is relatively narrow at this point, there are many corals and rocks and sea urchins too. The service is impeccable, the housekeeper is discreet, efficient and a very good cook. The area is absolutely peaceful, with only the sound of the waves to be heard; ideal for recharging your batteries.

Thank you to Sophie for all her advice before we arrived and for answering so many questions before our trip, as well as during our stay and her unfailing responsiveness. Thank you to Ratee who really looked after us: cooking, tidying up, maintenance, advice... and JIM for his availability, his ``transparent`` work, as he did it very early in the morning, cleaning the pool, maintenance right up to the beach.... In short, an excellent stay at the villa which made us forget the rain at times, which was nevertheless welcome for the islanders...

We had a wonderful stay. The house is fantastic. The east coast is slightly windier than the west coast, but it is a quiet and pleasant area. The house is within reasonable distance of the beaches and tourist spots on the east coast, as well as the main points of interest in the north-west of the island. I would recommend this house without hesitation! Thank you to Sophie for the warm welcome and to Ratee for the incredible dishes she prepared for us!

Dream villa by the beach, almost private. Pleasant to live in, tastefully decorated and with a magnificent view. Ratee treated us to some great Mauritian food. Definitely worth doing again.

Dear Sophie, thank you very much for the great service and the great stay. The house was wonderful and we immediately felt at home. The view from the house of the sea and the beach was fantastic, as were the songbirds that always made a brief appearance on the terrace. Rati was a pearl and also spoiled us with her dishes; a highlight was the Mauritian Byriani on the last day. Thanks also to Bernard for arranging a contact for kitesurfing. The children were also thrilled and we enjoyed a dreamlike ``Blue Moon`` over the sea. In short - the holiday and the stay were a dream, super relaxing and I am sure we will be back! Thank you for the great service and the great stay!

Wonderful stay. The house is spacious, very pretty and divinely located. Ratee the young woman who takes care of the meals and cleaning is top notch. I would recommend 100%. Thank you for everything, only one desire: to return.

We stayed at villa les Dunes 2 in Poste Lafayette last July. An exceptional and quiet place for a dream vacation!
Magnificent view of the ocean (sunrise), infinity pool, proximity to the beach... and a villa with great amenities: large and beautiful bedrooms, all with en-suite bathroom, air conditioning... and staff available at all times!!
So many values that contributed to making our stay unforgettable.

We had a very pleasant stay. The villa is magnificent and totally corresponds to the descriptions and photos. We were 6 with a baby and we had enough space. All baby equipment was present.

The housekeeper's services were very much appreciated and she was very discreet. Her meals were appreciated. I would recommend this villa.

We really enjoyed our stay at maison des Dunes 2, which is a beautifully decorated and well-equipped house with a lovely garden and swimming pool looked after by the caretaker. It also has a lovely sea view, accessible via a direct passage to enjoy the peace and quiet. We were also made very welcome by Sophie and Bernard, and made the most of the local dishes prepared by Rati, who was on hand 6 out of 7 days. We highly recommend this place for a relaxing holiday and to enjoy Mauritian hospitality.

Cozy and a well maintained villa. Easy access to the beach from the villa. Approximately 10 min drive to the super market. There is helper who comes in the morning and is a good cook.

Everything was great, the House is well equipped with all the staff what you need ! The house is clean and the view is great ! Thank you once again

Gorgeous property, excellent amenities, private and secluded. The location is a bit of a distance from tourist attractions but there are some stunning beaches that locals come to in the area. This is definitely an area that locals come to more than tourists. The property itself comes with 2 maids who clean and cook a meal every day if desired. It has a beautifully appointed kitchen with thoughtful amenities for a serious cook.

Overall an amazing experience at Les Dunes.

Beautiful house on private property, absolute privacy, 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, pool, terrace, Weber grill, full kitchen, everything your heart desires.

There were daily the two Maids Rita and Rati on site, the (cleaning, laundry, breakfast, lunch, shopping, etc.) took care of everything. Good care by Sophie and Bernard from the local agency incl. private tour in Port Louis. We had a very nice time, and would happily visit again.

Les Dunes 2 is a high standard large villa in a beautiful position. We had the most wonderful stay here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The villa is fitted to a high standard with all you could need. The villa is situated right on a beautiful quiet beach.
The grounds and pool are kept immaculate by Jim and we were looked after very well my our maid Rati. Rati cooked a delicious Mauritius style meal for us daily, did our laundry and her day to day maid duties. We did not expect this service but it was wonderful!

Sophie was very prompt in all responses to our questions and met us on arrival. She also helped us to hire a car at a very reasonable price for the duration of our stay. We highly recommend Les Dunes 2 for a peaceful break. We hope to return!

We had a wonderful time at this Villa. The Location at the East coast is the best for travellers who like it more calm, less touristik. You will find a perfect beach with tide, waves, wind and relaxed mauritian people. Rita and Jim, the staff of the Villa is very friendly and helpful. They will read your wishes in your eyes.

There is nothing to complain and I am sure we will come back some time. We enjoyed every day of our stay. The agency we booked the Villa with is perfect to realise a dream Holiday.

Les Dunes 2 was our house for 2 weeks july'18. It appeared to be a paradise.

The villa is way more beautiful than expected. It appeared to be a lot more spacious too. One bedroom on the ocean side on the 1st floor is as big as the living + dining room. Waking up in this room is gorgeous. We opened the screens, curtains and the windows completely and enjoyed the Sun rise above the ocean horizon multiple times. The other two very spacious bedrooms with individual very large high standard bathrooms are located at the back side of the house, connected via the central hall. The maids were here every day, cleaning and cooking. We first had to get used to these services; it was the first time. They were very friendly and helpfull and cooked everything we wanted to.

Snorkelling is great, only 3 feet in the water you already swim in between 1000's colourful fish, all directly coming from the Nemo movie. Be aware of the sea urchins. Just drift above them and enjoy the spectacular view.

We had two cancelled flights, but Sophie was a great help, helping us to rearrange the villa, the transportation to/from the airport, et cetera. We used the rental car company which was proposed by Bernard. We hired two cars which were brought to, and collected from the villa. It worked out perfectly, including a 4G/wifi modem to have instant internet access in the car.

Thank you Sophie, Bernard and the two maids for giving us an unforgettable holiday over in Mauritius...
