Bungalow Aviam is located right on a small stretch of beach in Pereybère, Grand Baie, on the North coast of Mauritius, offering an unequalled view on the northern islands. From the veranda, balcony or while sitting under the huge “Coqueluche” tree, wonderful sunsets paint-up the whole setting in bright orange. Tastefully renovated in 2013, its comfort has been improved while keeping the thatch roof and other warm material that maintain the charm of the typical holiday homes of Mauritius known as “campements.”
Up the beach on the right is the very best bathing spot of the North coast; a sheltered cove of warm water with only fine sand underneath, with the “Coin de Mire” is let as background.
There is a truly warm atmosphere in the bungalow as the comfort is just as simple as it should be. The house counts 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. On the ground-floor, a double air-conditioned bedroom with its en-suite bathroom, as well as the main bathroom. Upstairs are 2 air-conditioned double bedrooms of which one has an adjacent bathroom, plus the children bedroom with 2 single beds, all opening on the balcony with sea-view.
This bungalow is one of those ideal holiday rentals for one family or 2 couples with children.
Bungalow Aviam is serviced from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm daily, except on Sundays and public holidays. Cooking is an option, subject to a surcharge of 3 € / hr.

The Co2-e emissions have been offset for a period of 1 year (starting April 2022). The contribution made via the UNFCC platform went to an improved Cook-stove project in Malawi which aims at reducing deforestation for cooking purposes and at improving air quality within homes.

I was in this house with my family in January 2023 and the 5 of us were thrilled.
You shouldn't forget the attractive rates here! For this cheapest and, in my opinion, appropriate rental price in such a fantastic top location, you shouldn't expect a super modern luxury villa!
The description in January 2023 was absolutely accurate and not glossed over!
We felt very comfortable despite the airy ceiling and walls! It's a great, rustic, simple house with a very high feel-good factor!

She is a very nice and helpful woman who welcomed us and said goodbye very warmly!
Even if I had any questions via WhatsApp, I always received a quick, informative answer!
The only thing I agree with is the combination of leaks and air conditioning use!
The lower bathroom was perfect and the upper one could use a different shower solution…
Regarding the mosquitoes: this is seasonal! After Bungalow Aviam, we stayed in a 5* resort on the east coast (where you can also see sunrises, as the sun rises in the east and not in the west!!!) and had just as many insects and crawly creatures!
And one more thing: our kind housekeeper Christiane (?) was very discreet and friendly!

The bungalow is ideal for families with direct access to the beach. It was ideal for the children.
What's more, the setting is magnificent 😍
The communication with Sophie and Bernard was easy. They gave us very helpful suggestions.
Christiane cooked Mauritian food for us. The food was very tasty. The villa was cleaned daily. Christiane was very friendly and helpful. Overall a great week.

Very bad surprise because the house is not at all consistent with the announcement.
We sell you a typical Mauritian bungalow on the beach. Yes, the beach is magnificent, but the villa is in a state of disrepair with exposed electric wires, outdated equipment, dilapidated sanitary facilities, leaks on the roof...
Let's not mention the total lack of insulation, the openings in the masonry of the living room or even broken windows, friends of mosquitoes, it is made for you! But rest assured, it has air conditioning.
And its low environmental footprint, highlighted by Book mauritius, will seduce you. (Abreviated)
