Grankaz Beach House

In a vast garden of Roches-Noires, shaded by old trees and bordered by a wide beach, are the ravishing Grankaz beach house and love nest bungalow Tikaz. Both units are of traditional Mauritian beach house style with thatch roofs and this unmatched atmosphere that prevails in traditional buildings. Tikaz and Grankaz can be rented together or separately.

Grankaz is furnished in a classical / antique style and, amongst other ornaments, a stunning collection of original paintings from Mauritian artists. With its woodwork, thatch roof, wooden openings and decks, Grankaz has preserved the charm of the traditional “campements”, despite its modernised equipments and fittings.

The house counts a veranda on stilts with sea-view, furnished with a dining table and a sitting area. Similarly, the two bedrooms with sea-view have their own small private terrace. At the rear, a large terrace under a flowered arbour, fitted with a dining table.

With 3 air-conditioned double bedrooms, of which 2 have en-suite bathrooms, 3 single bedrooms and 2 separate bathrooms, spread over 300 m², this villa is ideal for large get-togethers.

Its accommodation capacity totals 10, or 13 including Tikaz bungalow.

A charming villa, a vast garden with large sea-frontage; a wide white beach, well-sheltered from winds in all seasons and good bathing conditions; Grankaz is a dreamlike reality. The shaded spots in the garden, the sunbeds under umbrellas and the kayaks allow to fully live this tale during holidays.

The rental includes daily service, provided by two ladies working from 8.00am till midday, Monday to Saturday. Their duties include:

– cleaning,

– laundry and ironing,

– preparing breakfast and a second meal.

It is possible to ask for the preparation of a third meal, subject to their availability, and to the payment of overtime, at the rate of Rs. 200 / hour.

Note that it is the guests’ responsibility to purchase the necessary supplies for the meals, unless a chef is hired.

Chef service – Subject to prior reservation and additional charge, the service and includes the preparation of 3 meals, cocktails and appetizers in the evening. Grocery sopping is performed by the chef and charged on a per person per night basis.
